The PIVO Pod is a pretty decent device if you want to record yourself during sports and outdoor activities. It turns your smartphone in to a tracking camera that can follow your face, your body and even animals like horses and dogs. It will follow your every move. It’s like having an extra camera man when ever you want.
However, the device gets confused if there are more than 2 people (or objects) in the frame. It doesn’t know who to follow 😀
With the phone is attached, you can use it like a webcam for video conferencing calls, or if you’re in workspace or studio, and you need to move around, then it will follow you, which is pretty neat.
You can get the PIVO Pod as a standalone device (cheaper), but I highly recommend you get the remote bundle, because without it, you’ll be running back and forth to the phone to hit the record button! How annoying is that!
The device is easy to setup, just load up the PIVO Pod software and pair it with your phone.
