ASRock AB350M Pro4 (AM4) Motherboard Review

Box and Packaging

Not much to say here … the box and packaging contains your usual items, including the instruction manual, drivers disc, 2 SATA cables, I/O shield, some M.2 screws for mounting SSDs, and of course the motherboard itself.

The Motherboard

The ASRock AB350M Pro4 motherboard comes in a micro-ATX form factor, and should fit most ATX cases. All the components seems to be in the right places with plenty of room between the DDR4 DIMM slots, processor socket and the the PCIE slots.

The only extra things I would like to see on the this motherboard, is maybe some steel reinforcements for the x16 PCIE slot, diagnostic LEDs and maybe some extra RGB lighting 😉 I can’t expect too much for only USD $89.00

A Closer Look

The ASRock AB350M Pro4 features 2 x M.2 connectors for SSDs, which is great as most motherboards of this size only gives you 1 M.2 connector. You’ll also find 2 x PCIE x16 slots for graphics card, which is ideal for Crossfire configuration if you needed it.

There are 4 x DDR4 DIMM slots for memory expansion upto 64GB of DDR4 3200+ (OC) (Ryzen CPU) / 2400 (A-series APU). RGB headers can be found on the top right-hand corner.

Finally for connectivity, you get PS/2 keyboard and mouse, 2 x USB 2.0, 15-pin VGA, DVI and HDMI output, as well as 1 x USB-C (3.1), a further 4 x USB 3.0, a gigabit LAN and an array of audio connectors.
