If you wanted to be one of the first ones to get your hands on a Xiaomi Max, you’ll have to wait a little bit longer. Online reservations for the Xiaomi Max ended at 10:00am on 16 May, and Xiaomi are reporting that online reservations for their new big screen smartphone has surpassed 14 million.
These numbers are not to be flinched at, and shows the global demand of Xiaomi’s smartphones, and the clamor for their new 6.44″ Xiaomi Max. A breakdown of the reservations are: approx. 11.8 million were through their own reservation website, another 1.45 million through QQ, and finally approx. 1.35 million through authorized reseller orders such as Suning and Jingdong.
Remember, this is only the first batch of orders. If the Xiaomi Max proves to be as popular as the initial orders, subsequent online reservations will be released again.
