2023 has been OK. Not the best, but just OK. Inflation and high cost of living contine to be a challenge for everyone. Still, we will leave 2023 behind on a high note, and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from our Funky Kit Team.
Before we end the year, we would like to say a BIG thank you to all our followers, visitors, viewers, fans, subscribers and contributors for your continued support. It is YOU that make it possible for us to grow and develop Funky Kit to what it is today.
As you all know, there is no money to be made in tech media business. Running the whole operation, and most importantly maintaining a website is not easy. It can be quite challenging, especially when you’ve been doing it for more than 25 years! I, myself have been personally paying for, and funding the whole operation which includes …
- Hosting the site on AWS servers (not cheap!) + monthly fees + maintenance fees
- Equipment for video production for all the videos uploaded on our YouTube channel
- Twitch Channel for our LIVE show – Internet service and equipment costs
- Travel expenses to cover exhibitions, expos and trade shows
So, let me emphasize this again … ALL the above costs are paid for, and funded by myself personally. It is quite a heavy toll and a financial burden on me. If you would like to help us and donate, you can do so here.
I do everything at Funky Kit out of love and passion. I love technology and I love the community that drives it. It is NOT profit driven and any proceeds, donations or funds are used to pay for the running costs of Funky Kit.
With 2023 done and dusted, we now look forward to 2024 and I have a feeling it’s going to be another great year! Hopefully if everything goes as planned, we’ll be bringing you more content, videos, prize giveaways, PC build projects, and of course continue with our popular Funky Kit Show LIVE, as well as our Podcast Show!
