Wing’s Blog – Game Cheats & Full Frame Cameras

In the odd moments I’ve had recently to play any games on my PS4, the experience has been tainted with other people that cheater. You’ve probably heard of Ubisoft’s never ending problem with cheats on their latest games Tom Clancy’s The Division. Things did not start off on the right foot even in the games beta testing stages, with over 10000 bugs reported, and many ‘testers’ finding glitches and bugs to cheat their way around. When the game was finally released, it was still full of bugs, but when the latest DLC (Falcon Lost) was released a month back, all hell broke loose.

In The Division, once you hit the level cap of 30, your characters stats are determined by level of gear it wears. When Falcon Lost came out with a brand new super duper hard stage, by completing it you had a ‘chance’ of getting one piece of very high level gear. Within literally minutes of the DLC being released, players had found bugs within the game to farm this stage over and over again. For the casual gamer like me who’s gear rating is only 172, encountering these players that have just this exploit to reach a rating of 210+ in a PVP area is much like a hedgehog meeting a high speed traveling truck, there’s just no contest, not even a faint whiff of hope.

Ubisoft has warned it will take steps against these cheaters, but already The Division is loosing its grip on me as I can’t enjoy it anymore with these cheaters around. I can understand cheating examples such as getting unlimited cash in SimCity so you can build your dream city, but cheaters that affect other people’s enjoyment is just not my cup of tea.
