CES 2013: Zalman Coolers, Cases, GPUs & PSUs

Part Two: Cases and PSUs

Zalman also makes a variety of cases, they have for some time. The is my favorite that they had there, the MS800:

That’s a full on fan controller there, not the High/Low or High/Med/Low of most cases. You get linear control! Very nice. plus of course all the usual suspects for USB2, USB3, Audio, and buttons.

On the inside at the front there are three hotswap bays behind a mesh panel:

Clearly the last CES Press person this was shown to wasn’t careful enough reinstalling that bottom tray.

If that isn’t enough feature wise, here’s the main interior:

GPU supports! Infinitely adjustable GPU supports, so you can support the PCB or the cooler or both. Also note the huge cutout behind the CPU area, and the mesh behind the motherboard below that area. Zalman clearly put a lot of thought into this case.

Zalman also showed off a new mATX T series case with support for full length GPUs:

You can see some mounting points on the mesh there, the top is for a 3.5″ HDD while the bottom is sized for 2.5″ drives such as SSDs. Rubber grommets go into the holes and then the drive is attached to them with screws. There’s another 3.5″ bay somewhere too.

This could be a pretty nice compact high power computer case. Here’s some more detailed info

Last but not least, Zalman has quite a few PSUs as well! The star of the show is the 1250w platinum unit, we’re hoping we can get one for review here at Funkykit.

Zalman had a lot of other products as well, these are just the highlights as they appealed to me.
