AGON by AOC Renews Sponsorship for Lions Barber Collective and Race to Save Lives Team at 2024 British GT Championship

AGON by AOC – one of the world’s leading gaming monitor and IT accessories brands –  is proud to announce the renewal of its sponsorship for the Lions Barber Collective and the Race to Save Lives team, featuring Ian Gough, Tom Wrigley, and their BMW M4 GT4 race car for the 2024 British GT Championship season. This marks the second year of AGON by AOC’s support for this important cause, which aims to raise awareness about men’s mental health and suicide prevention.

The Lions Barber Collective is a charity dedicated to tackling the stigma surrounding mental health and training barbers across the country to recognise signs of distress in their clients. With suicide being the biggest killer of men under the age of 45, the charity’s mission is more critical than ever. By partnering with the Race to Save Lives team and being present at events like the British GT Championship, where the audience is predominantly male, the Lions Barber Collective can reach a wider audience and spread their message more effectively.

As part of the sponsorship, AGON by AOC will showcase its latest gaming technology at each race meeting, including the brand new AGON PRO AG456UCZD OLED 44.5″ monitor, which boasts a 240 Hz refresh rate and an 800R curvature and just 0.03 ms GtG response time. Endorsed by the sim-racing group from the successful G2 Esports team, the monitor is fit for extreme competition.

The AG456UCZD will be featured on a VRRC SIM Rig, alongside a fully AGON by AOC branded in-game GT4 car. Additionally, the AGON by AOC logo will be prominently displayed on the BMW M4 GT4 race car, which will receive extensive TV and online coverage throughout the season.

To further engage with the audience and support the charity, AGON by AOC will be offering chances to win gaming monitors, such as the 27G2SPU/BK from its beloved AOC GAMING line-up at each race round. Visitors to the Lions Barber Collective pop-up shop can participate in a raffle or a VRRC SIM Race Tournament for a chance to win these prizes. Attendees are also encouraged to visit the pop-up barber shop for a haircut by Tom Chapman and his skilled barber team, leaving onlookers looking sharp while supporting a great cause.

The Race to Save Lives is entirely funded by partners, with all donations going directly to the charity to help train more barbers and reach more men. As a grassroots charity, every donation makes a significant difference in their mission. AGON by AOC invites everyone to learn more about the Lions Barber Collective and the Race to Save Lives by visiting www.racetosavelives.co.uk.

AGON by AOC is committed to supporting this vital cause and helping to raise awareness about men’s mental health. Through this sponsorship, the company also aims to showcase its latest OLED gaming technology to gamers and sim-racing enthusiasts whilst making a positive impact on the community.
