Conclusion and Verdict
In conclusion, both of these little speaker impressed me with their sound. The S400 can produce a nice deep bass thump while the S406 can be used for a wide variety of activities. I-Venstar has manufactured two great little speakers. Both have decent sound and appealing looks. The Bluetooth speakers size and sound make them easy to use in various locations. I never thought I would have a need for a small speaker but after using these out in my garage and seeing that the sound was satisfying I see why these little speaker have become so popular.
I can not say that one speaker was better than the other because both are intented to be used for very different activites. So if you are looking for one to provide a little light entertainment and really pound out the bass go for the S400 and if ytou are looking for one to have by the pool or hang on your bike then go for S406.

With this all being said the S400 and S406 have very different sound and capabilities but with either one, depending on your needs, will meet your expectations of and Bluetooth speaker.
