Sharkoon Announces SKILLER SGK40 Gaming Keyboard

Sharkoon Technologies is an international supplier of high-performance, high-quality PC components and peripherals and now presents the SKILLER SGK40. This is a three-block keyboard with an aluminium housing that should be ideal for gaming thanks to its “Edge Light” illumination as well as its comprehensive gaming software.

All-Round RGB Illumination
The Edge Light is an LED strip located on the back of the diamond-cut aluminium housing of the SKILLER SGK40 and provides another RGB highlight in addition to the usual illumination of the keys. Through the downloadable software, the illumination of both the keys and the Edge Light can be extensively customized or, if desired, completely switched off.

Pre-installed Linear Switches
In addition to the visual aspects of the keyboard, Sharkoon is fully committed to gaming with the SKILLER SGK40 and has equipped the keys with linear red switches from Huano. These require a low actuation force of 45 grams and have a short distance of two millimeters to the actuation point. The manufacture states that the keys have an operating life cycle of at least 50 million keystrokes.

Comprehensive Gaming Features through Software
The SKILLER SGK40 has various function keys for, among other things, media control. In addition to this, the software can be used to customize a wide range of aspects of the keyboard and also allows complex macros to be created with up to 391 recorded actions in total. The macros can be assigned to any one of up to 20 game profiles. Any particularly important macro can be assigned to separate key to be then quickly deployed whenever needed.

Availability and Pricing
The SKILLER SGK40 is now available in black, and a white version for brighter-colored setups will soon be available at the manufacturer’s suggested price of €59.90.
