Antec ISK110 VESA ITX Case Review

Photos Part Two: The Case

That there is the front panel, you get the usual suspects. No reset button though.

The top is all mesh, plenty of airflow there.

The bottom has a few slits for airflow, nothing serious though.

Both sides have grills, this case is well set up airflow wise. Of course, there don’t appear to be any fans, so it has to be well set up.

The rear comes with a generic plate on it, I haven’t seen one of those in a very long time indeed. There’s also an input jack for the power brick.

Popping the top off, here is what we see. Cables, a power board, motherboard mounts, and the HDD tray on the bottom. Let’s flip it over.

The tray unscrews so you can put HDDs in after the motherboard. The two red strips from the accessories picture are insulation for the tray in case you’re using a HDD with exposed electronics on the bottom.

A better view of the PSU, looks like three large buck controllers and a couple smaller ones. All the electrolytic caps are Nippon Chemi-con.

If you look closely you can see a spec sheet in the middle and a damaged resistor in the lower right. A second case from Antec did not have the resistor issue. Some assembly tech was simply moving too fast. This sort of defect happens to any manufacturer. Here’s the spec sheet up close:

80 watts eh?  Also, only 60 watts of 12v. That’s a far cry from Antec’s “90w” spec! Given that this spec sheet isn’t reproduced anywhere and is also not visible with the board installed in the case, I am going to press onward and hope it doesn’t explode. If it fails, Antec is in trouble.
