Thermaltake Tower 250 Hydrangea Blue Mini Tower Chassis Review

Installation

Installing components into the Thermaltake Tower 250 Hydrangea Blue Mini Tower Chassis is refreshingly straightforward thanks to its Dismantlable Modular Design. All panels—including the three tempered glass fronts and two perforated side panels—are tool-free and easily removable, giving you full access to the interior without wrestling with tight corners. The vertical layout means you’ll install your Mini-ITX motherboard flat against the rear panel, with generous clearance for a GPU up to 360mm and a CPU cooler up to 210mm. The PSU mounts at the bottom, and the case supports both ATX and SFX formats up to 200mm in length. Storage installation is equally simple, with dedicated mounts behind the motherboard tray for two 2.5″ SSDs or one 3.5″ HDD.

Cooling setup is just as user-friendly. The right-side fan bracket is removable, allowing you to pre-mount up to three 120mm or two 140mm fans—or a 360mm/280mm AIO radiator—before securing it back into place. Two CT120 PWM fans come pre-installed at the top, and additional mounts on the rear and PSU cover let you customize airflow to suit your build. If you opt for the separately sold Chassis Stand Kit, horizontal installation is a breeze: simply unscrew the original feet, attach the new bottom cover, and place the case on the stand. Thermaltake even recommends positioning the radiator higher than the AIO pump for optimal cooling performance

The Finished Item

Building inside the Thermaltake Tower 250 Hydrangea Blue was an unexpectedly smooth and satisfying experience. For a Mini-ITX chassis, the internal space was incredibly well-optimized with plenty of room to route cables cleanly and swap components. The modular design and tool-free panels made installation effortless, and everything from the motherboard to the PSU slotted in neatly without a problem. It’s always a win when a build feels more like play rather than problem-solving.

Although the case includes two CT120 PWM fans pre-installed at the top for cooling, we also installed the Thermaltake TH360 V2 Ultra EX ARGB Sync AIO Liquid Cooler to show how it fits inside this case. Suprisingly, given that the AIO cooler is quite big, it fitted perfectly into the case with no hassle.

In my opinion, the finished build with this case looks incredible with it’s unique shape and all round aesthetics. Im looking forward to seeing what products thermaltake can produce in the future!
