Verdict & Conclusion
I should mention something about the Corsair HD120’s performance. The HD120 manages to push 54.4 CFM which is slightly lower than the SP120. Having said that, if you want near silent fans, then the HD120 might just be the ones you are looking for, I have to put my ears to about 4 inches away before I can hear the low hum of the fans.
And if it is looks you are looking for, then the HD120 does not disappoint with it’s sheer brightness. I was first itching to get some of these fans when I saw a reseller had their entire range of RGB fans light up on the display, and the brightest by some margin were the HD120s. Any LED fans that I have seen that comes any close to the HD120 are some produced by some random Chinese companies, and they whir as if they are taking off.
The controller and hub combo you get with the HD120 allows you to add to your case fans with ease, and you can have them matching to the same color, the same brightness, and the same lighting pattern.
