Insta360 Nano Review

Verdict & Conclusion

img_0913

The Insta360 Nano may not be the best around when it comes to photo and video quality, and ease of use, but the low price tag makes it very appealing. I picked mine up for HK$1099 which is more than half the price of the Rocoh Theta S. With the Insta360 Nano being so relatively cheap, it is great 360 camera for those that are just getting into 360 photography.

Whilst the accompanying app is a little featureless, apart from the live streaming option, it still does the job well in taking 360 photos and videos, and allowing you to preview them. I hope that future app updates incorporates more features, and contain more powerful software for stitching photos together.

As mentioned, photo and video quality is not the best with the Insta360 Nano, but they are passable and having 360 photos/videos of events and holidays are a fantastic way of capturing the moment.

Should I have paid more (much more) and opted for better 360 photo/video quality in the Insta360 Nano’s competitors? No way. The Insta360 Nano is just small, compact and lightweight to carry around with you without any fuss, and add to that I’m not exactly a 360 photo expert, in that I have to take one all the time, the Insta360 Nano meets all my needs.
