G.Skill once again proved that their memory kits are the best what computer enthusiasts and overclockers can find. Ripjaws 4 DDR4-2800 is top quality memory kit which is worth to be recommended to all users. I would say to overclockers but current price isn’t so much higher than what competition ask for more regular DDR4 series. I found couple of online stores, including Amazon which are selling Ripjaws 4 16GB DDR4-2800 kit for about $280. Not cheap but as I already said quite reasonable and I think you can find them even cheaper.
Going back to memory kit itself. G.Skill used great looking black heatsinks and black PCB what should present perfectly on most available motherboards. Heatsinks are not really required for cooling as modules are not getting hot but are protecting memory chips and are giving this additional touch which all computer modders can appreciate.
Overclocking of Ripjaws 4 is great. We were able to achieve so far the highest DDR4 memory clock of 3764MHz using nothing but standard cooling. Fully stable results are maybe not so impressive but I think that still really good. After some memory timing tunning we were able to set pretty stable DDR4-3200. It’s of course not guaranteed but if we could make it then is high chance that also our readers can set so high clock.
