Lexar LD4AU008G DDR4-2666MHz 8GB UDIMM Desktop Memory Review

Conclusion and Verdict

Lexar has something good on its hand. This RAM is so affordably priced it makes sense just to have a stick of this laying around as a backup. As you can see from the test results earlier in this review the Lexar RAM held its own during the test. We can get this model in 8, 16, and 32GB. I only had one stick to test but I believe these are single channel sticks so even if you used more than one stick it would still remain single channel. This makes this a little less versatile than some of the high performance RAM available. But you aren’t going to find that type of RAM very cheap. The performance value of this RAM far exceeds it price tag.

I can see several very useful applications for this RAM. First off I am going to be personally holding on to this RAM for a rainy day. Secondly, I wouldn’t hesitate using this in a budget gaming rig build. I would go with the 16GB stick as a minimum though. you could go with two 8GB sticks but one 16GB stick is going to out perform 2 8GB sticks in single channel mode.

You can buy the Lexar LD4AU008G DDR4-2666MHz 8GB UDIMM for around USD $29.99 from Amazon (and you’ll need a pair of them to enable dual channel memory mode) – https://amzn.to/3gXF2hD

Pros:

  • Price
  • Performance
  • Simplistic design
  • Lifetime Warranty

Cons:

  • None

Final thoughts:

The Lexar LD4AU008G DDR4 offers great performance at an extremely cheap price point. This RAM won’t break the bank and has the performance to be a nice addition to any setup.
