Test Setup
For our tests, we will be using a test rig which is comprised of the ASRock Phantom Gaming B850i Lightning WiFi motherboard, along with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X @ default speed, and a GeForce RTX 4080 Super.
We also used thhe Crucial T700 1TB (PCIE Gen5x4) SSD and 48GB V-Color Manta XFinity RGB DDR5-8000 at default XMP Profile 1.
All tests were conducted at turbo clock speeds at a minimum resolution of 1920×1080, 2560×1440 or higher. High or Ultra settings enabled.

Load Temps
For cooling, we used a Thermaltake 360 Ultra AIO cooler mounted with 3 x Corsair RX120 RGB cooling fans. At full load temperature, the CPU reached a high 94 degrees Celsius. It’s a little higher than I expected, but this is what you can expect with the Ryzen 9 9950X with a TDP rated at 170W.
In any case, it’s always good to get yourself a good 360mm AIO Liquid cooler, if you plan to build a system with the AMD Ryzen 9000 series Processors.
