ASRock X570 Creator Motherboard Review

This year, it’s all about content creation. So today we’ll be taking a look at the ASRock X570 Creator motherboard designed for content creators and high-end enthusiast users. This motherboard is insanely packed with a ton of features, and utilizes AMD’s X570 chipset supporting all AMD Ryzen 2nd and 3rd gen processors. As with all X570 motherboards, it comes with the new PCIE 4.0 as standard offering better performance. You’ll find 3 PCIe 4.0 x16 steel slots, 3 PCIe 4.0 x1 slots, as well as 2 Hyper M.2 slots for your SSDs.

On the rear panel I/O, you’ll find a huge amount of connectivity … there’s an Intel Gigabit LAN and Aquantia 10G LAN, as well as support for Intel Wi-Fi 6. You’ll also find a total of 6 x USB 3.2 Gen1 and 2 x USB 3.2 Gen2 Thunderbolt Type-C Ports Ports … perfect for any content creator.

It can support memory speeds of up to DDR4-4666+ (OC), and it’s compatible with Nvidia’s NVLink and AMD’s Quad CrossfireX multi-GPU configuration. There’s also the 7.1 CH HD Audio (Realtek ALC1220 Audio Codec) with Nichicon Audio Caps supporting Purity Sound 4, as well as of course, the ASRock Polychrome RGB.

As usual, it comes with ASRock’s Super Alloy feature which includes 2oz Copper, premium 60A power choke, XXL Aluminium alloy heatsinks, Nichicon 12K black caps, high density glass fabric PCB.

I would like to thank ASRock for providing the review sample. This is a snippet from what ASRock has to say about themselves on their website:

ASRock Inc. is established in 2002, specialized in the field of motherboards. ASRock strives to build up its own brand. With the 3C design concept, “Creativity, Consideration, Cost-effectiveness”, the company explores the limit of motherboards manufacturing while paying attention on the eco issue at the same time, developing products with the consideration of eco-friendly concept.

ASRock has been growing fast and become world third largest motherboard brand with headquarter in Taipei, Taiwan and branches in Europe and the USA. The young and vibrant company targets from mainstream to enthusiast MB segments for different kinds of users, owning reputation around the world market with its reliability and proficiency.

As I mentioned earlier, content creation seem to be the buzz words of 2019. If you’re a designer, videographer, vlogger, blogger, Instagrammer, YouTuber … by definition, you’re a content creator. And in being so, you’ll need the tools to help you create your precious content. And what better to do this, then a system built around an ASRock X570 Creator motherboard, a 3rd gen Ryzen 3000 series processor, as well as a Geforce RTX graphics card, and a super fast PCIE 4.0 NVMe SSD … now that’s what I call a perfect combination.

To test this motherboard, we’ll be using AMD’s latest Ryzen 7 3700X processor featuring 8 cores/16 threads, and a massive 32MB of L3 cache, along with a Zotac GeForce RTX 2080 AMP Extreme Core. I’m expecting some great results from our benchmark tests. But more importantly, what makes this motherboard ideal for content creators I think … are the extra features.

OK, let’s not waste any time, and start by taking a look at the specifications and features of this motherboard.
