ASRock X570 Creator Motherboard Review

The Box and Packaging

Inside the box, you’ll find the instruction manual, software setup guide, postcard, drivers disc, 2 packs of SATA data cables, 2 x M.2 screws for your SSDs, a right angle mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable, and a wifi antenna for the Wifi 6.

The X570 Creator Motherboard

The motherboard has a very sleek looking design with silver heatsinks and a single heatpipe. You’ll also find a full cover heat shield for the Hyper M.2 SSD slots and comes with an integrated fan for active cooling of the chipset.

But sadly, the motherboard doesn’t come with any onboard RGB LEDs. I guess this feature isn’t really required for content creators. However, it does come with ARGB headers.

A Closer Look

The motherboard is insanely feature-rich and comes with 8 x SATA ports, 2 x PCIE 4.0 x16 steel slots, 3 x PCIE 4.0 x1 slots, 2 x Hyper M.2 slots for SSDs (covered my a full coverage heatsink with active fan), as well as onboard diagnostic LEDs, and buttons for clear CMOS, power on/off and reset.

Notice the internal onboard DisplayPort connector – DPIN2 (bottom left). This connector is used to connect any DP compatible devices to the motherboard. Could be useful for video streaming etc.

For the rear I/O panel, there’s a BIOS flashback button, 2 wifi antenna connectors, DisplayPort, HDMI, PS/2 keyboard and mouse port, 6 x USB 3.1, 2 x USB 3.2 (both Type-A and Type-C Thunderbolt 3). There’s also the Intel gigabit ethernet LAN, Aquantia 10G LAN, and the usual array of connectors for 7.1 HD audio.
