The Box and Packaging

Inside the box, you’ll find the instructional manual, software setup guide, postcard, drivers disc, 1 pack of SATA data cables, 2 x Wifi antennas, USB backplate, mini active fan, graphics card holder bracket, M.2 screws for you SSDs, a pair of velcro cable straps and a sheet of Phantom Gaming stickers.

 

The Motherboard

ASRock’s PG Velocita motherboard series comes with the usual black, silver and grey design. You can see that there are some heavy duty heatsinks around the processor socket (LGA1200) for cooling the VRMs and Mosfets. Also, there are several full cover heatsinks that help cool the chipset and M.2 SSDs. 

 

 

A Closer Look

The Z590 PG Velocita has a total of 6 x SATA ports for your storage devices, as well as 1 x Hyper M.2 (PCIE Gen4) and 2 x Ultra M.2 (PCIE Gen 3) for Nvme SSDs. For graphics card, there are 2 x PCIE 4.0 x16 Steel Slots, and 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16, 1 x PCIe 3.0 x1 for add-on/expansion cards.

For enthusiast users, you’ll also find the essential onboard power-on/off and reset buttons, clear CMOS button and diagnostic LEDs, which is fantastic.

 

On the the rear I/O panel you’ll find a Displayport, HDMI, 10 x USB 3.2 Gen1 (6 rear + 4  front), 1 x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type A+C (10Gb/s), Killer E3100G 2.5G LAN, Intel Gigabit LAN, 2 x connectors for Wifi antennas and array of audio connectors.
