Closer Look

HyperX Savage 128GB is in a retail package which is transparent so you can see exactly what you can expect to find inside.

Outside we can read the main specifications like declared performance or capacity. Of course speed may vary depends from used files or USB controller but we know where can be the limits of our brand new storage.

On the back is nothing unusual, what we couldn’t find on other storage products so additional specification, warranty information and contact to support. I have to mention that HyperX Savage is covered by five year limited warranty what is a lot considering it’s a flash drive. Kingston believes it’s a good product if guarantees all five years of perfect work. Most other flash drives on the market are guaranteed to work two or three years without issues.

Inside the package we can find the flash drive and a key chain.. All we need to use this device.

HyperX Savage has a brand new looks – black casing with a metallic red X what looks great and quite agressive. Exactly what most gamers like.

We can see X from HyperX logo on other Kingston products too. Most of them are designed to be extreme. All the best for the gamers.

HyperX Savage has USB 3.1 gen 1 connector which is compatible back with USB 3.0 and 2.0 standards. It sounds great but USB 3.1 gen 1 is actually exactly the same as USB 3.0. It doesn’t change fact we can count on a high performance. It’s simply nothing new, just a new naming for a standard that we already have on the market for some longer.

Since I mentioned performance, let’s move to the next page to check how much we can expect from HyperX Savage in the daily work.
