How do you get the MSRP of the GeForce RTX 5060 to USD $299? … by removing all the accessories. Inside the box, you’ll find the informational leaflet and the GPU itself.

A Closer Look

The graphics card uses up only 2 PCIE slot space and measures L=281 W=119 H=40mm (thickness), so it should fit in most cases with no issues at all.

It comes in all-black aesthetic with a little bit of RGB lighting on the top, and there’s a unique sliding side plate, allowing users to customize their build to match their unique style.

According to Nvidia, the GeForce RTX 5060 has a total graphics power (TGP) is around 145W with a  recommend a minimum power of 550W, but we recommend a 750W or higher (for future expansion/upgrade).

The card is cooled with Gigabyte’s WINDFORCE cooling system featuring triple Hawk fans, Server-grade Thermal conductive gel, and a Copper plate with a composite heat-pipe. It also comes with reinforced metal backplate which is securely fastened to the I/O bracket, and this provides good structural integrity.

There’s a Dual BIOS switch located near the center of the card, and this allows users to select between Performance or Silent operation.

To power the card, you get 1 x 8-pin PCIE power connector, which is oddly placed near the front of the card. This makes it quite difficult to stretch the power cable to reach it … what was Nvidia thinking?!

For video output, there’s 3 x DisplayPort v2.1b and 1 x HDMI 2.1b, allowing you to display up to 4K @ 480Hz or 8K @ 165Hz with DSC.

Installation

There were no major issues during installation, however the8-pinPCIE power connector is located at the front of the card. This makes it quite difficult to stretch the power cable to reach it. See below. This is no fault of Gigabyte, but rather Nvidia’s PCB design!

You get a little bit of RGB lighting on the Gigabyte logo, which yyull find towards the end of the card, and there’s a unique sliding side plate, allowing users to customize their build to match their unique style.

With a thickness of only 40mm and a length of 298mm, while using up only 2 PCIE slot space, it will easily fit in most cases with no issues at all.
