As long as the HYTE Y60 felt like something fresh and unique, the Y40 feels like a step back in many ways. I’m still satisfied with the product’s quality, aesthetics, and total value with included PCIe 4.0 riser. However, for more demanding users, there can be too many restrictions regarding airflow or space for efficient water cooling.
As long as you are planning a high-end but more standard PC with a single AIO cooler and a couple of fans, the Y40 feels like a great PC case that nicely presents all the components inside.
HYTE Y40 costs around $149.99, which isn’t cheap but perfectly reasonable when considering the included PCIe riser price. It will be hard to find anything better at a similar price.
