In Win 703 Mid-Tower Chassis Review

ACloser Look: Interior

For the most part, In Win kept to their color scheme with the interior of the 703. The Interior is comprised of mostly a black SECC steel much like the rest of the chassis. A few discolorations is the tool-free fastener for the ODD drive bay and the color of the I/O cords. The fastener is a florescent green and a few of the cords are a very light grey, which makes each really stand out. In Win’s 703, has the capabilities to hold both ATX and Micro ATX motherboards, four 120mm fans, up to a 408mm graphics card, up to a 170mm cooler, and a 220mm power supply.

As stated above, the 703 allows for either an ATX or Micro ATX motherboard. The standoffs are preset to hold an ATX motherboard, but In Win does send standoffs that you are able to use for micro ATX boards. In the back of the 703 there is two large cut out, one of which is for the motherboard. The other large one resides at the very bottom and should make maneuvering cables fairly easily for the power supply cords. To the right of the motherboard cut-out is where the three small cut-outs reside. Each one is in line and on top of each other. In the top left corner, In Win provides three 5.25 optical drive bays. Only one bay is tool-free and has access to the exterior side of the case. Below the ODD bays, you will notice that the 703 has up to 408mm of room for a graphics, while below that is space is the hard drive bay. Here you can have up to four 3.5 HDDs or two 2.5 SDDs. Installing 3.5 hard drives should be easy with the tool-free trays that In Win provides, while installing the 2.5 hard drives will need to be screwed down to either the trays or the space provided on top of the hard drive bay.

In the bottom of the case you will see that the 703 has the space for up to a 220mm power supply or 170mm power supply and a 120mm fan/water cooler. There is ventilation and filters for each of the power supply and fan mount. In the back of the mid-tower you will notice that the bottom has the cut-out for the power supply. You are able to install the power supply either direction. Above the cut-out, there is seven expansion slots. Six of the expansion slots are not re-usable. The top expansion slot is the only one you are able to re use. Above the expansion slot, is the pre-installed 120mm fan. The fan comes with the standard molar connector, therefore you will not be able to plug this into your motherboard. Behind the front cover is where the other pre-installed 120mm fan resides. Above the pre-installed fan is another 120mm fan mount. Each fan comes with a dust filter.

Now lets check how the 703 looks with some hardware inside it!
