Thermaltake Tower 250 Hydrangea Blue Mini Tower Chassis Review

Today, we’re diving into the Thermaltake Tower 250 Hydrangea Blue Mini Tower Chassis. This chassis is a compact powerhouse designed for mini-ITX builds. With its signature vertical layout and octagonal prism shape, this case offers a sleek footprint that’s perfect for maximizing desk space without compromising performance.

The Tower 250 showcases three tempered glass panels on the front and two perforated side panels, all of which are tool-free and easily removable for seamless access. And with the optional chassis stand kit, you can rotate the case horizontally for a bold, custom look.

Despite its small form factor, the Tower 250 supports up to a 360mm AIO radiator on the right side and accommodates up to eight 120mm or five 140mm fans for robust airflow.

It comes pre-installed with 2 x CT120 cooling fans on the top to enhance thermal efficiency. The case supports mini-ITX motherboards and GPUs up to 360mm in length (without the PSU cover), making it ideal for high-performance setups.

For added flair and functionality, you can upgrade with the optional 3.9” LCD Display to monitor system stats or display custom visuals using TT RGB Plus software.

Official website:

The Thermaltake Tower 250 Hydrangea Blue Mini Tower Chassis is one of the standout colour options in the Tower 250 series, which also includes Black, Snow, Matcha Green, and Racing Green. For this review, we’ll be focusing on the Hydrangea Blue edition, chosen for its sleek aesthetic and compact footprint—ideal for our upcoming Mini-ITX build.

This chassis is designed exclusively for Mini-ITX motherboards and features a vertical octagonal prism shape that maximizes airflow while minimizing desk space. It comes with 2 pre-installed CT120 cooling fans mounted at the top of the case. Each fan measures 120mm, supports PWM control, and delivers efficient airflow with low noise output, making it a solid foundation for high-performance compact builds.

The Thermaltake Tower 250 Hydrangea Blue Mini Tower Chassis features a well-equipped front I/O panel that offers both functionality and convenience for compact builds. You’ll find a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port for fast data transfers and broad device compatibility, alongside two USB 3.0 ports for standard peripherals. Audio is covered with dedicated Mic-in and Line-out jacks, while system control is handled through a tactile power-on button and a reset switch.

For our system build, we’ll be installing an ASRock B850I Lightning WiFi Mini ITX Motherboard, Thermaltake Toughpower SFX 1000W, Thermaltake TH360 V2 Ultra EX ARGB Sync AIO Liquid Cooler, 32GB of DDR5-7200 ram, and a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 Aero OC 12GB Graphics Card. We did not install a cpu or ssd since this review was focusing on the chassis and how components such as the motherboard, GPU, PSU and AIO cooler fit inside.

OK, now let’s not waste any more time and let the system build begin! … but before we do that, we’ll start by taking a look at the features and specifications of the chassis in our page.

You can buy the Thermaltake Tower 250 Hydrangea Blue Mini Tower Chassis for around USD $162 from Amazon – https://amzn.to/4m6wYMG
