Today, we’ll be taking a look at the Thermaltake Toughpower PF3 1050W Platinum power supply. It’s a fully modular power supply that uses 100% high quality Japanese capacitors and delivers 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency, with the highest stability, durability, and reliability.
It features a powerful +12V single rail at 87.5A giving you a maximum power output of up to 1050W.
The Toughower PF3 Plantinum Series is designed to be compact in size measuring just 140mm (D) x 86mm (H) x 150mm (W) which provides ample space for cable management.
The Toughpower PF3 Platinum Series is designed to meet the new ATX 3.0 standards, including a PCIe Gen 5.0 12VHPWR connector. And with that said, it comes with a 16pin connector that can deliver up to 600W for next-generation PCIE 5.0 GPUs, such as Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4070 series and above.
It also features a Smart Zero Fan switch which allows you to adjust the fan speed and minimizes undesired noise.
The package comes with plenty of flat modular cables that are easy to plug in. And since the PSU is fully modular, it offers easy cable management as you’ll be able to choose only the cables necessary to run your system.
Backed by a 10 year warranty, the Thermaltake TOUGHPOWER PF3 1050W Platinum Power Supply is serious choice for power users, hardcore enthusiasts and overclockers who want uncompromised stability, reliability and durability.

To test the power supply, we’ll be using our usual test rig which is comprised of an Intel Core i9-14900K processor, which has a massive Turbo Boost TDP of 253W+ at full load. We’ll also be using an Asus Z790-E motherboard, 32GB of DDR5-7200 ram, a Lexar NM800 2TB SSD, and a GeForce RTX 4070 Ti (with the 16-pin PCIE 5.0 power connector). For cooling, we’ll using a Thermaltake TH360 V2 Ultra AIO cooler mounted with 3 x SWAFAN 12 EX ARGB cooling fans.
As far as stability goes, we expect a solid +12V line with liitle or no fluctuation during our tests, with CPU and GPU both at 100% full load. Enough talk, let’s continue and start by taking a look at the specifications in our next page.
You can buy the Thermaltake TOUGHPOWER PF3 1050W Platinum Power Supply for around USD $189.99 from Amazon – https://amzn.to/47aorRL
