In the package, we will find everything we need for the installation, including the mounting kit, thermal grease, additional screws, and a low-noise adaptor. The low-noise adaptor won’t be required if our motherboard can adjust the fan speed to the full range.
The NH-L9a-AM5 cooler comes with one 92mm fan that is 14mm thick, but there is a set of screws if we wish to install a regular 25mm thick fan. In both cases, I recommend the NA-FD1 fan duct (purchased separately) to improve the temperatures if we are building a small form factor PC. The fan duct is proven to lower the temperature by a couple of degrees.
The NH-L9a-AM5 is a highly compact, quiet low-profile cooler designed for use in small form factor cases and HTPC environments. While it provides first-rate performance in its class, it is not suitable for overclocking and or CPUs that create high heat loads. Please consult THE CPU compatibility list to find out whether the NH-L9a-AM5 is recommended for your CPU.
