Thermaltake SWAFAN EX12 ARGB PC Cooling Fan Review

The Box and Packaging

Inside the box, you’ll find the usual warranty information and quick installation guide. There’s 3 sets of the magnetic cables with both 3-pin ARGB and 4-pin power connector. For easy fan installation, there’s 3 sets of fan mounting screws for radiators and chassis and a tube of grease for the ball bearing/motor.

And finally, you get 3 swappable fan blades with reverse air flow, and this allows you to set a  push-pull or a pull-push configuration on the fans.

The Fans

On closer inspection, the fan come with rubber corners which help reduce noise and vibrations. On the fan itself, there are a total of 20 LEDs on each fan. 14 LEDs on the outer ring, and 6 LEDs on the inner ring.

All 3 fans do not have any cables whatsoever, which is fantastic. Instead, it features a 8-pin spring loaded magnetic connector that locks each fan in place. You have to see it action … it’s SO satisfying to watch.

NOTE: You can only daisy chain up to 3 SWAFAN EX fans with one magnetic cable.
