Ballistix Tactical Tracer 32GB DDR4-2666 RGB LED Memory Kit Review

Conclusion and Verdict

The Ballistix Tracer RGB is clearly designed for PC gamers and modders. It’s well-designed memory which combines high quality and compatibility with amazing lighting. The RGB lighting is the key feature without a doubt. We have seen many other memory kits with RGB lighting but not as well prepared as in Ballistix memory. It has not only the best effects but also many special modes not available in competitive products. Not to mention eight zones on each memory module which can be configured separately.

If it wasn’t enough, we can change top bar and 3D print our own bar with the help of Ballistix profiles available on the website.

There is less to say about the performance but even at XMP settings, most users should be satisfied. If we wish to see higher frequency then there is always overclocking and the Ballistix Tracer has really high overclocking potential. We can spend long hours playing with LED lighting but also with overclocking. In the end, there is a chance on double satisfaction for our unique gaming PC.

32GB Ballistix Tactical Tracer RGB DDR4-2666 memory kit is available on Amazon UK for about £375 (USD $438). I can’t find an 8GB x4 kit on Amazon US but the price should be similar, just in USD. It’s pretty good price for 32GB memory kit, especially with so great lighting, thermal sensors and lifetime warranty.

Pros:

  • Amazing lighting
  • Interesting design
  • High performance
  • High compatibility – works on AMD and Intel in a dual and quad channel
  • Functional software
  • Multiple lighting modes which can be separately configured for each memory module
  • Thermal sensors

Cons:

  • Nothing worth to mention

Final words:

If we are looking for the best memory kit with RGB lighting then there is probably no better option than the Ballistix Tactical Tracer RGB. High stability and compatibility, reasonable price, good performance, high overclocking potential, thermal sensors and of course amazing RGB lighting. All that in one package for those gamers who want something more than only a standard RAM.
