Kingston HyperX 10th Anniversary Edition DDR3-2400 C11 16GB Memory Kit Review

Verdict and Conclusion

I have to say, Kingston’s HyperX 10th Anniversary Limited Edition are in my opinion one of the best memory kits I’ve ever tested. The same is true with previous Kingston memory that we reviewed in last few weeks ( Predator and Beast ). To be honest, it was really hard for me to find any real disadvantages. Actually all three Kingston memory kits are nearly the same if you’re looking at performance. HyperX 10th Anniversary memory are just as fast and has extremely well programmed XMP profiles.

One advantage over the Predator and Beast kits is the low profile heatspreader. It’s pretty helpful for all who are using large air cooling solutions. Memory doesn’t run very hot so larger heatspreaderaren’t really necessary.

Now maybe what I would change.

Since it’s memory dedicated for enthusiasts and gamers who care about the looks it would be good to see a PCB color other than green. This memory is a Limited Edition so something that looks special would be nice.

The heatspreader, as it was already mentioned, is low profile and looks really good but a different OCB color would give a more unique look.

Price is quite an important factor and in this case it’s not really low. Prices for this kit in the online stores start from about $200. If we compare it to the competition then it’s not really high, more like average.

Pros:

  • high performance
  • low profile heatspreaders
  • unique looks
  • problem-free configuration
  • lifetime warranty

Cons:

  • more limited overclocking than expected
  • standard, green PCB in special edition memory

Final words:

Again, Kingston has done a great job of programming their XMP profiles, they’re problem-free and additionally set to optimal performance. We could have expect more from overclocking them, but that’s never guaranteed so probably another kit will overclock better.

These Kingston HyperX 10th Anniversary Limited Editionalt 16Gb memory kits achieves a solid 8+ score.

I can recommend them to any enthusiast who wish to use high performance memory, without having to worry about compatibility or additional configuration.
