Sharkoon Light² 180 Gaming Mouse and SKILLER SGP30 Big Hex Mousepad Review

Closer Look (Part 2)

The mouse looks and works great. There were no issues during a couple of days of usage. The mouse is so light that can forget it exists. For me, it is only a bit too small, as I have pretty big palms. For most users, however, it will be a perfect size.

Because of the used light, the mouse looks a bit brownish on the photos on this page. The actual color is closer to the images on the previous pages, so it is deep black and in real, looks even better.

Sharkoon Mouse Software

Light² 180 has dedicated software that enables the full functionality of the mouse. The software can be installed from a single file that is provided on the product website. After two clicks, the software is installed.

The first tabs let us program all buttons and adjust DPI. The mouse picture suggests which buttons we are programming.

On the next tab, we can set RGB modes, adjust brightness and mode speed. There is a long list of presets, while the standard preset is close to a popular rainbow.

The following tabs give us a wide range of additional options and macros. We can program various macros the same way as in any expensive competitive mouse. Simply create a new macro and start recording key combinations and delays between them.

The software lets us save profiles and offers a variety of modes. We can program up to 5 presets and use them later as we need. However, the most important is Its functionality and ease of usage. I’m sure that most, if not all, users won’t have problems managing all available options.
