Steelseries Kinzu V2 Pro Edition Review

Verdict and Conclusion

While the Kinzu v2 does not come with tons of features it still flat out performs. What you are paying for is the quality tracking and clicking switches rather than stuff that is not extremely useful. FPS,RTS,MMORPG,RPG,etc. all of these game types perform great with the Kinzu v2 Pro edition. There was never a time when I felt like this mouse could not do well in a game.

When it comes down to pricing Steelseries has the mouse listed for $45 which is not too bad . It has great tracking and switches to make up for the fact that it does not have a ton of features. I myself like minimalistic items if the price reflects this, and I feel that in this case it does very well.

I will however say that I had problems getting the software for the mouse to work throughout testing. If you really want to take advantage of the tracking abilities of the mouse and the CPI settings you will want to have the software installed in order to fine-tune any of your personal settings.

Pros:

  • Price
  • Great tracking
  • Great clicking switches
  • On the fly CPI settings

Cons:

  • Slick coating
  • No steelseries sticker
  • Software did not work properly

Final words

If you are looking to have great mouse performance but you do not want to break the bank to buy a bunch of features you may or may not use, the Kinzu v2 Pro edition will get you fragging in no time. The excellent sensors and switches more than make up for any of its downfalls.
