The Box and Packaging

Inside the box, you’ll find the usual items such as the quick installation guide, regulatrory notices, a Phantom gaming badge, thermal probe, a pair of SATA cables, one M.2 screw, a pair of velcro straps for cable management, and a set of WiFi 6e antennas.

 

The ASRock Phantom Gaming B760I Lightning WiFi Motherboard

The motherboard has a black color design and comes in a mini ATX form factor, measuring just 17 x 17cm in dimensions.

For cooling, the the motherboard is equipped with a composite VRM heatsink combining a cooling fan, bigger aluminum sink and heat pipe for maximum heat dissipation. Pretty impressive for such a compact and small motherboard.

 

A Closer Look

On the top left side of the board, you’ll find just 1 x 8-pin PCIE power connector. This needs to be connected to the power supply for normal operation.

Expansion slots inlcude 1 x PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and come with surface mount technology and reinforced steel, which gives it better physical strength, as well as a more stable memory signal.

For RGB, there’s 2 x 3-pin ARGB (5V) headers located on the top right side and bottom right of the motherboard.

For connectivity, it comes with ASRock’s Phantom Gaming 2.5GbE LAN and support for WiFi 6E. And for storage, you get 3 SATA ports and 2 x Hyper M.2 PCIE Gen4x4 slots for SSDs. One of them is just above the PCIE x16 slot, while the other is located on the reverse side of the motherboard.

The rear I/O panel includes 4 USB 3.2 Gen1, 2 x connectors for the WiFi 6E, 1 x DisplayPort, 1 x HDMI, 2.5GbE LAN, 2 x USB 3.2 Gen (Type-A and Type-C) and 1 x Line Out Jack, 1 x Microphone Input, and SPDIF.
