ASRock Z790 PG NOVA WiFi Motherboard Review

Test Setup

For our tests, we will be using a test rig which is comprised of the ASRock Z790 PG PG NOVA WiFi motherboard, along with an Intel 14th Gen Core i9-14900K (Raptor Lake-S) @default clock speed, as well as 32GB of Lexar ARES RGB DDR5-7200 in quad channel mode.

All tests were conducted at turbo clock speeds at a resolution of 1920×1080. High or Ultra settings enabled.

Load Temps

Using the the Cooler Master MasterLiquid Flux PL 240 (fitted with the LGA1700 brackets), the Core i9-13900K (with a max TDP of 125W) produced a full load temperature of 101 degrees Celsius, which is expected for a 240 AIO cooler. So no surprise here. With turbo boost at full load, it can consume up to 250+ watts.

I highly recommend you use a decent 360 AIO Liquid cooler, if you do plan to upgrade to an Intel 13th Gen processor.
