Enermax released one more amazing PSU series, which meets the top demands regarding power delivery and safety. During the tests, the PSU was acting perfectly stable and was very quiet. There were no problems with voltages or the quality of any component, including cables or even the package.
I’m quite picky regarding aesthetics, and I won’t hide I’m expecting a bit more from the top PSU series nowadays. I remember the Platimax series PSUs from Enermax, and a couple of years ago, they had a similar paint job but also braided cables. The new series from all manufacturers have almost only black, flat cables, which are pretty much a standard nowadays. Most modders and enthusiasts will start by spending additional money on braided cable replacements or extensions.
The RGB illumination gives us 14 manual modes and, additionally, everything that motherboard ARGB synchronization options give us. Again, the backlight on the PSU could be more “flashy” and I wish to see different graphics, maybe the Enermax logo or maybe replaceable plates. It’s not very expensive, but an interesting idea for the future.
Enermax is sure of the top quality, giving us a 10-year warranty. It’s not the only PSU on the market with such an extended warranty, but there are not many series that can share the same.
The Enermax Revolution D.F. X 1200W ATX 3.0 PSU costs around $265.94 in the Amazon store. It’s quite expensive, and if it’s too much for us, but we still expect high wattage, then we may consider the much cheaper D.F. 2 PSU series as they’re great too. Maybe not as great as the D.F. X, but we can recommend them without hesitation. Since it’s a new product, then the price will drop in time. Many competitive options at 1200W are not really cheaper, so we could say that the price is still reasonable.

The Revolution D.F. X 1200W from Enermax is definitely a top-series PSU. It’s a high quality, high performance, highly efficient, and quiet power supply, which will for sure last many years in your gaming PC. If we add a 10-year warranty, semi-passive cooling, full protection, and a pretty reasonable price at such a high wattage, then it’s clear it’s one of the best options on the market.
