Specifications:

The CrystalDiskInfo is showing that our drive is in perfect condition after a couple of tests. Of course, the PC60 supports SMART and all other popular technologies.

The idle temperature of the PC60 is about 30°C. Under load, it goes up to about 50°C, but because of the plastic enclosure, it doesn’t feel hot, so after copying more data, we can put it in the pocket.

Package and its Contents

The PC60 arrived in a small box which doesn’t look as good as that of the BOLT B80, but not the package is the most important. It’s still well designed, gives us info about the product and protects the product thoroughly for the time of transport.

On the package, we can see a general description, specifications, and additional info telling us that the drive is shockproof has a keyhole and is pocket size.

The drive comes with a high-quality USB-C to USB-A cable. The cable is braided and looks durable. It shouldn’t break during more extended usage.

The maximum bandwidth of the PC60 is 540MB/s read, and 500MB/s write. Considering we are using a USB port, then it’s high bandwidth but also depends on used USB controller and device. The PC60 should work with various devices like smart TVs or gaming consoles.

Inside the aluminum enclosure, we will find a SATA SSD. It was expected considering the drive’s maximum bandwidth, which is about as high as that of SSD connected via SATA cable. Performance of the drive we will check on the next page of this review while now let’s take a look at the design.

The PC60 is small and light. The enclosure is made of plastic what isn’t my favorite material but has its advantages. The squared design is simple but quite original. I only wish to see the USB cable attached to the drive as it’s portable, but we have to carry the cable separately. I’m adding this comment quite often to the portable SSD reviews, and maybe one day, someone releases a drive that is close to high capacity and faster thumb drive.

The drive is equipped with a white activity LED. As you can see, the functional but straightforward build catches the eye and doesn’t need additional description. It’s something that all are looking for in portable storage.

Let’s move to the next page and some performance tests.
