ASRock Radeon RX 7600 Phantom Gaming 8GB OC Graphics Card Review

The Box and Packaging

Nothing much say about the box. There’s a quick installation guide and the graphics card and that’s it.

A Closer Look

For cooling, the card comes with their Phantom Gaming 3X cooling system giving you the best balance between the thermal efficiency and silent operation. It includes a pretty large heatsink with 5 ultra-fit heatpipes (2 front/3 rear), and 3 Striped Axial Fan which delivers enhanced airflow to optimize cooling.

The card only uses up 2 PCIE slot space, which is great. It should fit in a majority of chassis out there.

The Stylish Metal Backplate is good to have and PCB bending. It also comes with the premium thermal pads  which is found on the backside, and this helps to enhance the cooling.

The cooling fan in the middle is integrated ARGB LEDs which lights up. You can create your own unique colorful light effects which can also be switched on and off. It can also be synchronized with your ASRock motherboards that support Polychrome SYNC.

The card features just 1 x 8-pin PCIE power connector, and that’s great … the less cables the better. The TBP (or total board power) of this card is around 165W, so we recommend a minimum power supply of 600-750W or higher. For monitor output, there’s 3 x DisplayPort v2.1 and 1 x HDMI 2.1 port.

Installation

We used our test rig which is comprised of an AMD Rzyen 7 7800X3D and ASRock B650E Taichi Lite motherboard, along with 32GB of DRR5-6200 ram.

When the system is powered up, you’ll notice the ring LED on the center fan lights up along with the ASRock logo on the top of the card. If you don’t want to have any LEDs, no problems, just switch it off in the Polychrome Sync app from ASRock.

If you have a monitor what supports FreeSync, make sure you use a high quality DisplayPort cable (1.4 minimum), and remember to enable FreeSync on the Adrenalin Software, otherwise you won’t be getting all the benefits of the graphics card or monitor.
