Gigabyte Radeon RX470 G1 Gaming 4GB Video Card Review

Conclusion and Verdict

In conclusion, the Gigabyte RX470 G1 gaming is a solid option at and affordable price. When are buying a product from Gigabyte you can be assured that quality will meet or exceed expectations. The 470 returned results that we could have expected nothing out of this world overclock wise but we have a Windforce cooler to keep this chip nice and cool. There are a few options for LED’s on this card granted they are almost negligible but, me personally, love anything that has any option for RGB lighting. The 470 is a solid option for a middle of the mall runner.

Pros:

  • Windforce Cooler
  • Ultra Durable Materials
  • Decent Overclock Capabilities
  • RGB Lighting
  • Heat-pipe Direct Touch

Cons:

  • Price may be a couple bucks on the high side for a 470 but you are getting a Gigabyte

Final Thoughts:

Gigabyte always produces a reliable product and they have once again answered the call and provided us with the RX470 G1 Gaming. Performance right on par and the cooler keeps the temperatures down. This card has problems with temperatures! Why didn’t write temperature problems. When gpu is load, temperature is 80C and more. Very bad from Gigabyte for this card.

Yes temperature for this card is ridiculous new improved fans yeh right its 1/3 smaller than on the r9 270 i believe gigabyte is now just all hype . I used to rely on gigabyte for all my parts not anymore, they dont even go for as long as their warranty, misuse of technical knowledge and an inability to implement it. My god they have been doing this since 1986 and they are getting worse, i suppose when sales drop they might actually care again.
