XSPC RayStorm Pro Waterblock

To cool the Imntel Core i7 – 6800K processor, we used a XSPC RayStorm Pro (Intel) waterblock. The package comes with all the fittings including LGA 1150, 1151, 1155, 1156, 1366, 2011 and 2011-3. Our reseller was kind enough to supply us with one extra orange LED and as well as one extra UV LED.

It is supplied with mounting hardware, 1150/1151/1155/1156, and 1366 backplates, twin white LED, allen key, and K3 thermal paste.

The XSPC Raystorm Pro waterblock looks very nice and goes well with our system. It comes with a solid aluminium bracket with acrylic inserts and 2 x 3mm LED holes, which allows the LED to shine through.

Motherboard – ASRock Fatal1ty X99X Killer 3.1

The motherboard is one of most important part of any PC build. Thanks to ASRock, they kindly sponsored their Fatal1ty X99X Killer 3.1 Gaming motherboard. The box and packaging comes with everything you’ll need to get started.

The layout of the motherboard is clean and nice. All the connectors seem to be in the right places with easy access.

The motherboard comes Quad channel memory capabilities with a total of 8 x DDR4 memory slots, there are also 3 x PCIe x16 slots for graphic cards and can support AMD 3-Way CrossFireX™ or NVIDIA® 3-Way SLI™

You’ll also find ASRock’s DR Debug LED, an integrated reset and power button onboard, dual BIOS, PCIe Gen3 interface/slot for M.2 SSDs, mosfet heatsink with heatpipe,  solid capacitors and much more.

Rear I/O panel features PS/2 keboard and mouse, USB-C port, eSATA port, 4x USB 3.0, Killer E220 LAN port, Intel Gigabit LAN and HD audio.

We had no problems installing our XSPC RayStorm Pro waterblock on to the motherboard. There were still plenty of space around the processor socket and memory slots. We decided to paint the heatsinks white to match our theme colors.
