Thermaltake Pacific W4 RGB CPU Water Block Review

Today we will be taking a quick look at the Thermaltake Pacific W4 RGB CPU water block. It’s aimed at the watercooling enthusiasts who wants a CPU water block that can offer RGB lighting. The RGB lighting is powered by a special engineered LED giving you 256 colors. It also features a 0.15mm internal fin construction, copper base design, anti-corrosive nickel plating, a high-quality PMMA cover, and comes ready with G1/4 ports.

RGB is now the latest trend and it’s every where. You just can’t get away from it. Some hate it … some love it, and I have to admit, I’m a sucker for anything that’s flashy … I just love it!

Aesthetics and looks is one thing, but one must also consider the cooling performance of any CPU water block. Last month we reviewed the Thermaltake’s Pacific W3 CPU water block. It was a nice-looking water block that feature a high-quality see-through PMMA cover. It compared very well against the king of CPU water blocks … the XSPC RayStorm Pro, but fell short in some areas. Let’s see how well the Thermaltake Pacific W4 RGB CPU water block can do in terms of cooling performance.

The Thermaltake Pacific W4 RGB CPU water block does not feature a clear PMMA cover like the Pacific W3, instead the entire top of the PMMA cover is covered. Only the edge of the PMMA is exposed, giving you a “ring effect” for the RGB lighting.  I see what Thermaltake’s doing … Riing Riing!!  It will match perfectly with any Thermaltake LCS products that uses their Riing fans 😉

I’ll be testing the Pacific W4 RGB CPU waterblock on our Project Core Arancio which is built around an ASRock Fatal1ty X99 Killer 3.1 motherboard with a Core i7-6800K processor.

Here’s a little more blurb taken from Thermaltake’s website.
