Recording and Editing Webcam Videos with Movavi Video Editor

Step 1) Download the installer given on this link. Follow the onscreen instructions to properly install the software on your PC or Mac.

Step 2) Open the editor window, navigate to the Record Video button and click on it. You will be taken to a special capturing app. Movavi saves your videos by default in Movavi Library, but you can change the save destination in the Save Files field.  

Step 3) Click on the “Start Capture” button to begin video recording. Once you feel you have captured enough footage, press the “Stop Capture” button and stop the recording. The video will be saved to your previously specified folder. You can view the video by clicking on the View Saved Files button.

 

Editing Your Captured Video

Step 1) Probably you don’t want to upload the raw footage online in its current state. To edit your video, click on “Back to editing” option. It will launch the main video editor window. Your video will be transferred to the Timeline section where you can process it further.

Step 2) Depending on what you want, you can add text captions, insert transitions between video segments, sprinkle it with creative filters and even edit the background music without sacrificing on overall quality. It is also recommended to get rid of unwanted portions of the video with the Split tool. You can also Join different videos together for a more engaging experience.

Step 3) The final step requires you to Save the video. Once you are satisfied with the content of your video, simply click on the Export button at the bottom right to get a number of options. You can save the video offline or simply upload it to a streaming service of your choice. If you want to save the video on a local hard disk, you will be presented with a range of formatting options including MP4, AVI, MOV, MPEG, WMV, MKV and FLV.

Once you have defined these specifics, click on the “Start” button to begin video processing. You’re now good to go!
