Project MAG-Nificent – Full Build Log and Video

Chassis Preparation

The MSI MPG VELOX 300R AIRFLOW PZ Chassis was a bliss to work with. All the panels were easy to remove, and there’s plenty of room inside the chassis. The velcro traps behind the right panel of the chassis was great as it helped with my cable management.

Motherboard Installation

We installed the MSI MAG Z890 TOMAHAWK WIFI in the chassis with ease. There’s plenty of room inside the chassis, so you can really dig your hands in there 😀

PSU Installation

The EZ PSU cover was easy to remove. We proceeded to install the MSI MPG A1000GS PCIE5 Power Supply with no issues at all.

AIO Installation

For cooling we used the MSI MAG CORELIQUID A13 360 AIO CPU Cooler. And because the cooling fans on the radiator were pre-installed, the whole installation process was a breeze. Even better, is the fact that the 4-pin PWM and 3-pin ARGB cables for each of the fans were already daisy-chained, which means I just need to plug these two cables directly on the motherboard.

For extra cooling we also used 3 x MPG F120 ARGB fans … these were mounted on the side of the chassis.

GPU Installation

The chassis is capable of supporting graphics cards up to 400mm in length. So for our GPU we installed the MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16G VANGUARD SOC Launch Edition Graphics Card, which measured 360mm … again we didn’t encounter any issues whatsoever.

The included GPU holder was a nice added bonus. It really does help support the weight of the graphics card.
