EIZO Expands Lineup of 4K UHD Business Monitors With New FlexScan EV2740S

EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737) today announced the release of the FlexScan EV2740S – a 27-inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution monitor designed with energy efficiency in mind. It expands EIZO’s lineup of FlexScan 4K UHD monitors and is equipped with features for streamlined operations, offering exceptional support for the increasingly diverse needs of modern business environments.

Previously, EIZO’s 27-inch 4K offering for business was limited to the EV2740X – a Premium model. With the introduction of the EV2740S, which delivers essential performance and the sharp clarity of 4K, EIZO broadens its range to provide users with greater flexibility and choice based on their specific needs. The monitor’s 4K UHD resolution displays four times more information compared to standard Full HD (1920 x 1080). This allows users to view more information at once on its 27-inch screen, greatly reducing the need to scroll or frequently switch windows.

With sustainability gaining significance in the modern landscape, organizations are urged to make well-informed decisions when procuring new technology. While 4K monitors generally require more power due to their higher resolution and larger screen size, the EV2740S consumes just 12 watts, 75% less compared to the EV2740X. This helps users to lower their energy costs and supports sustainability efforts by minimizing their carbon footprint.

As modern workstyles diversify, the need for versatile and adaptable technology has grown in importance. Like all FlexScan 4K UHD monitors, the EV2740S is equipped with a USB Type-C port, enabling users to connect their laptop via a single cable. This streamlines video signal transmission, provides access to the monitor’s four-port USB hub for peripherals, and delivers up to 70 watts of power to a device. Additionally, the monitor’s Picture-by-Picture (PbyP) function enables information sharing side-by-side, eliminating the need to constantly switch input sources. These convenient features help support user efficiency and productivity, whether collaborating with coworkers, moving between workstations, or when working remotely.

The EV2740S is certified by comprehensive global sustainability standards, including TCO Certified, generation 10 and the ENERGY STAR label. It has also achieved the highest tier of EPEAT Gold and the EPEAT Climate+ designation, further highlighting EIZO’s commitment to sustainability. ¹

The monitor’s housing is made of more than 50% recycled plastic, promoting the reduction of plastic waste, conservation of resources, and reuse of materials. Its packaging and cushioning are also made from recycled materials to minimize environmental impact.

Four monitors are packaged in a single box, while the stands are packaged separately or can be excluded upon request.
