New MEDION ERAZER High-End Laptops Feature CHERRY MX Ultra Low Profile Tactile Switches

CHERRY MX, the market leader and expert for mechanical switches in keyboards, is now also represented in the new high-end laptops MEDION ERAZER Beast X40 and Major X20 with the MX Ultra Low Profile Tactile switches. This allows MEDION to complement the latest high-performance hardware with a durable mechanical keyboard that ensures reliable precision and a high-quality typing experience in all situations.

With the top-of-the-line Beast X40, MEDION ERAZER sets new standards. The combination of the powerful Intel Core i9-13900HX processor, 32 gigabytes of DDR5-4800 memory, and the laptop GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 with an impressive 16 gigabytes of VRAM ensures a smooth display on the 17-inch QHD+ screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Thanks to the NVIDIA G-Sync synchronization technology and a fast refresh rate of 240 hertz, a constant fast and stutter-free playback of the content is guaranteed. With the integration of a two-terabyte PCIe-4.0 SSD, there is also enough space for applications and games.

The optional external water cooling in the form of the MEDION ERAZER Cooling Kit even extracts more performance from the Beast X40: Thanks to improved cooling, performance can be increased by up to ten percent. Alternatively, the notebook is also available with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 and a slightly reduced storage capacity.

MEDION ERAZER Major X20: Compact and powerful
The MEDION ERAZER Major X20 is almost identical to the Beast X40 in terms of equipment but is slightly more compact due to its 16-inch screen. It is also one of the first laptops in Europe to use the brand-new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 with eight gigabytes of video memory.

Mechanical keyboard with CHERRY MX Ultra Low Profile Tactile

The two new gaming laptops from MEDION ERAZER also use the CHERRY MX Ultra Low Profile Tactile (ULP) switches. The awarded switch has a height of only 3.5 millimeters, making it the thinnest switch in the MX range and enabling the implementation of fully mechanical high-end keyboards for laptops characterized by a pleasant typing feel, intense feedback during gaming and writing, high reliability, and durability.

The exclusive and patented switch design includes the proven feature set of the CHERRY MX switches and ensures maximum precision and perfect function even in the thin design. This is achieved through the highly precise Gold Crosspoint contact system and special materials such as stainless steel and heat-resistant polymer plastic. All CHERRY MX switches are exclusively manufactured in Germany.

Tactile switch characteristic for maximum precision

The CHERRY MX Ultra Low Profile Tactile offers notebook providers like MEDION ERAZER an exclusive technology for a unique typing experience that combines a mechanical keyboard’s advantages with a notebook’s slim design. The tactile switch characteristic ensures maximum precision and perfect function. The MEDION ERAZER Beast X40 and Major X20 use the tactile version of the switch with haptic feedback, which does not require the typical actuation noise of the click derivative. With an actuation force of 65 centinewtons and a pre-travel distance of only 0.8 millimeters, the MX Ultra Low Profile Tactile actuates precisely and quickly – perfect for fast gaming and quick, productive work. Thanks to an ergonomic overtravel of one millimeter, the typical typing feel of classic mechanical keyboards is also ensured.

This way, buyers of these high-end laptops will get an absolutely reliable, fully mechanical keyboard for striking input during gaming, heavy writing, and content creation.
