ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII (Z490) Motherboards Leaked

Don’t you love leaks … Well, I think Intel’s Z490 is one of the most leaked item so far this year. I’m guessing Intel needed to do something drastic, to take some of the headlines away from AMD haha.

Taken from Videocardz … The ROG Maximus XII is the top-of-the-line motherboard series from ASUS. The 12th generation of Maximus brings have a new model to the lineup called Extreme Glacial (which is not pictured), presumably a white edition of the Maximus XII Extreme.

The four motherboards pictured below: ROG Maximus XII Formula, ROG Maximus XII Extreme, ROG Maximus XII Hero (Wi-Fi) and ROG Maximus XII Apex are all 16 power stage design. Interestingly they also all support DDR4-4800 OCed memory.

The datasheet clearly confirms that the Z490 ASUS motherboards have PCI-Express 3.0, not 4.0, although some rumors indicate that Z490 motherboards already have 4.0 support, but only for the Rocket Lake-S series.

All motherboards except Hero have 2.5 Gbe network card. Formula and Extreme also have 10Gbe networking. The ROG Maximus XII Extreme is the only E-ATX motherboard from the ROG series.
