Samsung and Blacknut Announces an Exciting new way for Players to Discover Games on the Samsung Gaming Hub

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Blacknut announce an exciting new way for players to discover games on the Samsung Gaming Hub. In a new initiative, Samsung Gaming Hub players in the United States will enjoy select games for free on compatible Samsung Smart TVs, powered by Blacknut. This “Free Game Pilot” will be active for a limited time, allowing users to access eleven full games with no sign-in or subscription required.

“At Samsung, we continually look for opportunities to expand choices for players and broaden the horizons of game streaming. Starting today, in collaboration with our partner, Blacknut, players have access to a select number of full games through the Samsung Gaming Hub, completely free,” said Mike Lucero, Head of Product Management for Gaming at Samsung. “With our “Free Game Pilot,” we aim to offer players the opportunity to discover new games instantly, with no downloads or subscription required. Our goal is to minimize the time and effort required to pick-up-and-play and provide a seamless discovery experience directly to our players. We have always prioritized listening to our gaming community, and we anticipate valuable feedback from this limited-time pilot, which will serve as a foundation for our future endeavors.”

Eleven full games will be available on Samsung Gaming Hub through game streaming partner Blacknut, allowing players to pair their compatible Bluetooth controller and play for FREE without downloading an app or creating an account — with more games being added throughout the end of 2023. This limited-time pilot allows players to experience game streaming for the first time or discover new content.

“Blacknut continually strives to bring premium cloud gaming to all players by eliminating traditional hardware barriers and growing connectivity across devices and regions. We are thrilled to be the first cloud content provider to provide free access to premium cloud gaming at this scale; the “Free Game Pilot” with Samsung is the next step in bringing the Blacknut catalog to all who wish to play, and we cannot wait to receive feedback from our gaming community in the US and future players,” said Olivier Avaro, CEO at Blacknut.

The following eleven games are now available through the limited time “Free Game Pilot” on compatible Samsung Smart TVs via the Samsung Gaming Hub in US territories, including:

  • Overcooked! 2
  • Asphalt 9: Legends
  • For The King
