HyperX ChargePlay Clutch Charging Case for Nintendo Switch Review

Package and its contents

The package has a similar design to all other HyperX products. It’s kept in white and red colors as packages of the whole line of HyperX products.

On the package, there is info about the product, additional specifications, warranty period, support, compatible devices, and many more. Simply everything we may need to know without opening the box. One more perfect package.

Inside the box, we will find a ChargePlay Clutch, two Joy-Con grips, a USB cable used for charging, and a user’s manual. As I mentioned earlier, installation and configuration are straightforward, so anyone will quickly figure out how to connect everything.

From additional things worth to mention are four LEDs on the back of the ChargePlay Clutch. These LEDs are showing us if the battery is charged or not. Simple but handy as the Switch isn’t showing that till we start the console.

All parts fit perfectly what is also important as it just proves that the product is well-designed.

The ChargePlay Clutch is quite comfortable even though the additional battery weight a bit. It still isn’t too heavy to use, and the shape of the grips is perfect for smaller and larger palms.

The charging case can work as a stand, which is a much better option than that which comes with the Switch. The console is stable and perfectly secured, so we can entirely focus on the favorite game.

Even though I’m sometimes picky, then I couldn’t find anything that I could call a disadvantage. Everything is just like it should be done from the material quality to functionality.
