Sony Alpha α6300 Mirrorless Camera – Quick Hands-on

The Box

The compact size of the Sony α6300 is evident when you look at the box and packaging. The camera itself is no bigger than 120 x 67 x 49 mm in dimensions.

The body is constructed from tough magnesium alloy, which not only gives it outstanding durability and robustness, but also makes the the camera super light-weight.

Weighing in at only 404g … it’s perfect for one-hand operation and video filming.

The build quality is excellent and feels solid. The weather sealed body is a great added bonus.

A Closer Look

On the left side of the camera, you get a multi-AV port, micro HDMI out and a mic-in, which I think is vital for filming. It gives you that extra option to add an external microphone, and thus enhancing the recorded audio.

The built-in flash works well, while the 3″ Tilting LCD Screen is easy to operate. Sadly, it’s not a touchscreen LCD and it does not flip right over to do selfies.
