Crucial Pro 128GB DDR5-5600 Memory Kit Review

Package and its Contents

Crucial DDR5 Pro memory arrived in a retail package, a cardboard box with a blister for RAM modules. The package is standard for the Pro edition and says everything we need to know about the new memory kit, like its series, capacity, and frequency. Most users will order RAM from online stores with a longer description, so it’s not a problem if we don’t find anything on the package.

The package contains two memory modules and nothing else. The installation is straightforward, and even less advanced users can handle it without problems. If there is any problem, the manual and additional info can be found on the Crucial website.

The memory modules have the same design as all previously reviewed Pro series memory kits. The PCB and PCB are black and have nothing else like RGB illumination, which could cause an unnecessarily high price.

Crucial Pro is not equipped with RGB illumination, which can be an advantage for many users. I often see users commenting that they have had enough of RGB-everything and wish for a simple but well-designed RAM that works well. I’m sure now they have an answer from Crucial in the form of the Pro series.

Below are additional photos of the test rig. The test platform is primarily white, but the Crucial Pro fits the theme even then. In many new builds with vertically installed graphics cards, RAM is in some part hidden or in the back, so it doesn’t matter much if it’s highlighted or not. More important is to keep acceptable temperatures. The tested Crucial Pro runs at default, 1.10V VDD/VDDQ, and the sensors never passed 60°C in our tests.
