Essencore KLEVV CRAS V RGB 32GB DDR5-8000 CL38 Memory Kit Review

Package and its Contents

KLEVV CRAS V RGB memory arrived in a retail package that is about the size of the typical flat box of most other brands. It’s also about the same as the one of CRAS XR5 memory reviewed some months ago. The main difference is the graphics in front and the product description.

The package is well described with all the features and main specifications. There is also info about support and various safety certificates. There is no additional manual, but it’s not required as the installation is straightforward, and every motherboard has an installation guide.

Inside the box, we will find two 16GB memory modules rated at DDR5-8000 CL38-48-48 1.45V. It’s about the same as for most competitive 8000MT/s memory kits. Barely any manufacturer decides to lower the voltage or tighten the main timings.

The modules are 44mm tall, so they should fit under most large tower CPU coolers. On the other hand, most cooler brands already corrected their products, and nearly every CPU cooler works with tall memory modules.

Heatsinks are already well-known as CRAS V RGB memory premiere was a couple of months ago.
Heatsinks keep memory chips and PMIC cool enough to maintain stability and have additional headroom for overclocking. Temperatures at the XMP profile under extended mixed load were around 62°C, which is acceptable without additional airflow.
On top of each module is an RGB light bar. The RGB illumination works well on ASRock and ASUS motherboards. It should also work with Gigabyte, MSI, or less popular brands like Biostar or Colorful.

KLEVV CRAS V RGB looks excellent and should match most motherboards on the market. Below are photos of the CRAS V RGB during work.

On the next page of this review, we will take a closer look at the performance.
