Silicon Power XPOWER Storm RGB 64GB DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory Kit Review

Package and its Contents

Silicon Power XPOWER Storm memory arrived in a retail package, a small box with blister protection for RAM modules. The package is typical for modern memory kits, and it says everything we need to know about the product inside, like its series, capacity, and frequency. Most users will order RAM from online stores with a longer description, so it’s not a problem if we don’t find anything on the package.

The package contains two memory modules and nothing else. The installation is straightforward, and even less advanced users can handle it without problems. If there is any problem, the manual and additional info can be found on the Silicon Power website.

The memory modules have the same design as the black version but are white. The PCB is still black, so only the heatsinks’ color has changed.

XPOWER Storm is equipped with unique heatsinks that resemble shark gills. It also has an RGB backlight, which makes it look even better. The RGB illumination can be controlled via the software of all leading motherboard manufacturers, such as ASUS, ASRock, Gigabyte, and MSI.

It would be only better if labels were on the other side of modules, so they’re hidden while the memory is installed on a motherboard. It’s not a problem, but computer enthusiasts and modders would appreciate it.

Below are additional photos of the test rig. Due to the RGB illumination, the XPOWER Storm modules stand out from our white test PC.
